Sclint | Langhe Rosso

The grapes are harvested manually at the beginning of October and are vinified through a soft destemming followed by fermentation in stainless steel with selected yeasts at controlled temperature. 8 days of maceration on the skins with frequent pumping over are requested. Refinement takes place for 12 months in French oak tonneaux (Allier forest), followed by aging in lying down bottle for 6 months.

Technical notes about Sclint, Langhe Rosso DOC

CharacterTasting notes

It is a full-bodied wine, rich in the mouth, velvety and persistent with hints of vanilla. The color is deep ruby red, with garnet reflections. The scent is complex, with notes of tobacco, plums and blackberries.

 

Wine & FoodPairing

This wine should be served at room temperature. It goes well with lamb, boiled meat, roasts and game. Ideal for grilling and pasta with elaborate sauces.
